In NM you don't even need to kill shit. Just grab a healer and fall back and run straight past it. Kill once you pull 4-5-6-7 groups.

In HM vanquishing and missions. Balling is faster in pretty much every single zone in the game, not every single group. But the groups you look at and realize will ball up well.

Got a lot more replies than I thought, thanks everyone.

I guess I was mostly wondering about balling up mobs as there seems to be 2 recommended ways of playing, between just kind of sitting back and supporting heroes, or having heroes supporting the player. Was getting a little bored with the former, and although the idea of balling isn't necessary, I guess I was hoping to learn how to play a bit better for when it might be useful.

I'll keep messing around with hero builds; thanks all, and please, keep posting opinions and arguments, they're very useful.
